My Political Point... And I Do Have One
You know how usually I talk about cell phones or kitty cats or cheese pizza… well, this is sorta like that… without the cell phones, the cats, or the pizza.
There’s a California Proposition on the ballot that’s a little confusing. It’s Proposition 8. It’s called, “The California Marriage Protection Act” -- but don’t let the name fool you. It’s not protecting anyone’s marriage. Not yours. Not mine.
The wording of Prop 8 is tricky. It’s like if someone asked you, “You don’t want dessert, right?” But you do want dessert so you say, “Yes,” which really means you don’t want dessert. And if you say, “No,” which means you do want dessert -- it sounds like you don’t. Either way, you don’t get what you want. See -- confusing. Just like Prop. 8.
So, in case I haven’t made myself clear, I’m FOR gay marriage. And in order to protect that right -- please VOTE NO on Proposition 8. And now that you’re informed, spread the word. I’m begging you. I can’t return the wedding gifts -- I love my new toaster.

So True Today
You swear you recall nothing at all
That could make you come back down
You made up your mind to leave it all behind
Now you're forced to fight it out
You fall away from your past
But it's following you
You fall away from your past
But it's following you
You left something undone, it's now your rerun
It's the one you can't erase
You should have made it right, so you wouldn't have to fight
To put a smile back on your face
You fall away from your past
But it's following you
You fall away from your past
But it's following you
You fall away
You fall away
Something I've done that I can't outrun
Something I've done that I can't outrun
Maybe you should wait maybe you should run
But there's something you've said that can't be undone
And you fall away from your past
But It's following you
You fall away from your past
But It's following you
You fall away from your past
But It's following you
You fall away from your past
But It's following you
[x3]
You fall away
It's following you

Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow
There are two days in every week about which we should not worry, two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.
One of these days is YESTERDAY with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains. YESTERDAY has passed forever beyond our control.
All the money in the world cannot bring back YESTERDAY. We cannot undo a single act we performed; we cannot erase a single word we said. YESTERDAY is gone.
The other day we should not worry about is TOMORROW with its possible adversities, its burdens, its large promise and poor performance. TOMORROW is also beyond our immediate control.
TOMORROW'S sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds - but it will rise. Until it does, we have no stake in TOMORROW, for it is as yet unborn.
This leaves only one day - TODAY - Any man can fight the battles of just one day. It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities – YESTERDAY and TOMORROW that we break down.
It is not the experience of TODAY that drives men mad - it is remorse or bitterness for something which happened YESTERDAY and the dread of what TOMORROW may bring.
Let us therefore live one day at a time...

Dreams Can Come True
I had a dream last night that Sarah Polin and Ann Coulter got married. So sweet.

7 Years Later
One of My Fav Quotes.

"We look like you. I know it would be a lot easier if we were purple or had horns but this way we can walk freely among you, and so, many straight people don't know unless gay people specifically tell them, and it's always a shock! That is why I stucture the show this way. I like to start with something i like to call comedy, just to bring you into my world...make sure we're all laughing, and having a good time. That's when I know I have them in the palm of my hand and that's when I announce that I'm a dyke and there like hahaha....huh? Then it gets that odd kind of quiet...People are like wait a minute...If you're a lesbian, and we we're laughing at you...does that make us gay? And I always have to reassure them, yes, yes it does...But don't worry, you'll dress better and treat your pets like children" -Elvira Kurt

Why here, why now? This is so 1996.
Noel Gallagher attacked on stage
by Elizabeth Bromstein
Somewhere out there a whole lot of people are laughing.
Noel Gallagher of Oasis was attacked on stage at V-Fest Sunday evening at Toronto Island Park.
An audience member apparently somehow managed to get past security then rushed the stage from the backstage area and, during the 1995 hit Morning Glory, pushed Gallagher the elder who fell onto the stage. The attacker then appeared to be going after Liam before security got it together and wrestled him away.
The band took a few minutes break then returned to play some more tunes including Don't Look Back in Anger, Wonderwall and The Beatles' I am the Walrus.
The arrogant Gallagher's got a lot of enemies so we're not exactly stunned around here.
No word on whether the assailant was a disgruntled Jay-Z fan - Noel recently dissed Jay and his headlining spot at Glastonbury. Jay-Z responded by mocking Noel on the recently recorded track Jockin' Jay-Z. Or maybe he was sent by Amy Winehouse, who Noel recently called a 'destitute horse' or Mark Ronson about whom Noel said "Mark Ronson needs to learn three chords on the guitar and write a tune, instead of ruining everyone elses,"
Or he could have been from the Metallica camp. Gigwise reports today that Noel said he likes everything about the metal band except their music... "Black drum sticks...no need." (this comes right after Lars Ulrich credited Noel with helping him quit heroin). Or from Bloc Party about whom Noel told musicradar "I wouldn't go out and buy a Bloc Party record 'cos I know it would be sh**."
Then, of course there's Damon Albarn and Alex James of Blur about whom Noel once said he wished they would "catch AIDS and die." He later took it back.
The assailant has been charged with assault but his Facebook popularity is about to skyrocket.

Do you think the Pope was a virgin when he got married? I think he was a big player.
Madonna dedicates song to Pope Benedict during concert in Rome
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
ROME - Italian news reports say pop star Madonna dedicated "Like a Virgin" to Pope Benedict when she sang the classic hit during a Rome concert.
Madonna made the dedication just a few kilometres from the Vatican as she sang for tens of thousands of fans at the capital's Stadio Olimpico on Saturday night, the only Italian date of her international "Sticky and Sweet" tour.
Italian daily La Repubblica reported Sunday that Madonna said "I dedicate this song to the Pope, because we are all children of God."
The "Material Girl" has a history of arousing the ire of the Roman Catholic Church.
She was criticized by Vatican officials and leaders of other religions for staging a mock crucifixion during her last Rome concert in 2006.

Zuma? Really? The jokes over G+G.

Hey, some of my favourite people (that sometimes piss me right off) were out and about (say that with a Canadian accent please). I love how celebrities just seem to run into each other. I am sure having to make small talk is a bitch even when your famous...or maybe they are friends. So, where is Zuma and Gwen? I love Kingston and Gavin and all but they are everywhere now and I just want to see the baby dammit!! I really do not think Zuma is going to grow on me but if I see the kid it might...Where are the People photos? Hello Magazine? Come on! Exploit your child already like a good little celebrity :) Too far? Ok...
But really....These pictures are precious.
